RITMRC owns many modules built to the Free-mo specification, a departure from the traditional NMRA style. Whereas NMRA modules are built to support continuous running in a loop, Free-mo modules are geared towards a more linear setup (point-to-point, point-to-loop, or loop-to-loop) that can better support realistic operation and scenery. Plus, Free-mo modules are designed to be viewed from two sides and can be rotated 180 degrees for additional flexibility.

The physical standards mandate just the ends where modules connect, leaving the length and track configuration up to the modeler. This in turn yields extremely flexible layout configurations that work!
