Those are missing coupler boxes. And whoever painted them forgot to put on the R&IT logo before putting on the grab irons.

Well, we can strip them down and repaint and repair... or just accept them as they are and continue with the physical repairs. Its up to you guys! :-)

So now that we survived 2008... anyone have any interest in making any of these ideas happen?

-throttles: we have received back the two that we sent back before the show. One more is set to go out; there were two that were broken however, but I have no idea which throttle the second one is, as they all appear to be working fine. :? I plan on sending the one that needs repair back shortly, so that we can hopefully find the other throttle that is having issues and send that one back as well.

-Scudderville bridge: Road is mostly complete on this, I just need some sort of jersey barriers for the side of the road. The bridge itself is almost complete, I was just about to add in the top struts that are at either end of the bridge(I.E. what the train would normally pass under). Once that is done, I can paint and install. On that note, we had put one end of the bridge on the other pier for the show, does anybody know what happened to this pier? I have the two side pieces, but not what it was resting on(Otto, did you move it?)

-R&IT power: 7426 is having issues(it will not move at all). As far as I know, everything else works fine though. I would like to go paint another MP15, but I'm going to wait on that for a while I think. 7428/30, the two club Alcos, as I stated previously, just don't have the R&IT logo on the back of the engine. It should, however, be a simple matter of removing the grab irons and then decaling the back of the engine. Asides from that, they just need numberboards and a little touch-up on the paint.

Awesome. The jersey barriers are available from Rix Products.

(Otto, did you move it?)

Nope.

7426 is having issues(it will not move at all).

Hrm, well seeing how that's my personal property (along with 7424) on loan to RITMRC, I hope some steps will be taken towards repair. I'm sure you guys will take care of it. Please keep me advised...

When I was up this past weekend, I got to check out Rob's progress on the Scudderville Bridge. It looks great, just a few more details and she'll be ready for primer and paint. Then we can plan installation on the layout, and replace the signals in the area.

I meant from now through Spring, yes. Was wondering if there was anything I could help with.

If anyone ever gets some mansonite or hardboard the backboard can be finished. And Ill be able to workon the layout as I did in the fall quarter, winter was a bitch but the spring isnt that bad for me.

...you could get it yourself using a tax exempt form, then speak to the treasurer for reimbursement... or vice versa...

Someone give this man a ride to Lowe's :-D Mike, if you do buy the material on your own, make sure the expense is approved by the board and bring a tax exempt form with you.
