Just an FYI..

I've seen Mr. Nugent's and Mr. Brefo's modules.

Mine are coming along, too....

Good to hear - Scott and I worked on one of his modules Saturday, with the other two on the schedule for this weekend. While his are scenicked, we're adding more age to them, especially along the abandoned tracks.

It's a shame that the train show can't accommodate a larger layout... but I echo Jered's comments... let's make the best of the space we've been given! Since we have a smaller layout to concentrate on, we can pour all our efforts into that... instead of spreading ourselves thin across a large layout.

Nice to see you guys for a little bit on Sunday. The layout looked good and ran well, I thought. Nice work, everyone.

Hey guys - Hope you all had fun running the layout this weekend, I know our group had a good time. Thanks for coming out and joining us!

Not to look too far ahead, but in an effort to secure a much larger location for next year, I want to be in touch with the CNYRHS mid-summer with a size for the layout. This doesn't mean we need a firm plan by then, although it might not be a bad idea to give the "push" to get modules done for the show. The organizers assure me that if we get to them early, they'll block out a big section for us over where the circus folks were this year.

To boot, at least two members of the Norwood group are going to be starting Free-mo modules almost immediately, and are hoping to get something together to join us for next year.

So, think ahead, and let me know what kind of space you all think we could fill. I'd like to see us take a large rectangle and weave through it, similar to the Free-mo meets I've seen in Europe. Think that we could fill up something 60 x 60? Bigger?

awesome. Make sure you send them detailed module information before they get started! Code 83! Birch Plywood! that kind of stuff

I would gun for maybe 60x100. This year's TT is 25x80... and if we have more people coming (assume james and possibly tim?), then that would fill up a bit more space! we also need more curves.

I am looking forward to next year. For sure, mine will be much more detailed, and...... something.

On the whole, it seems that this year was down from last year. Attandance, I head, was down a little, but as you all remember, come 3PM Saturday the place was a ghosttown. 6:05 that night, and we were the only ones left in the building. I heard from one vendor thats been doing the show for years, and usually has 8 - 10 tables, that they did $200 on Sunday. Pretty sad.

Lots of appreciation for our stuff though, the usual "Point to point? What a concept!" thing.

Did any get some decent photos? My camera is about worthless, I think I saw Luther & Dave maybe taking some photos? Guys?

I know I took some pictures with Walsh's camera, and he shot some too. I'd like to get them up on RITMRC.ORG...
