MODULE WORK SESSION

Postby Mike Walsh » Wed Mar 14, 2007 2:03 pm

There will be a module work session in the Student Alumni Union's ALUMNI Room on THURSDAY March 15.

It will go from 1PM to 10PM. I really could use everyone's help here... We have lots to do, ranging from paint (we will try to do htis downstairs beforehand), to wiring, to possibly more tracklaying. As far as I know, the legs are being cut today by superdave and Luther.

Yard Laundry List

1. Build 2nd 2-1 Module
a. Build Frame (Done – Walsh)
b. Install foam (Done – Braun)
c. Install roadbed
d. Install track
e. Paint

2. Finish Wiring
a. All feeders need to be dropped
b. All power buses need to be run

3. Install Toggle switches for Tortoise Control

4. Test all modules
a. Module building session – Thursday. 1-10. Alumni room.

5. Finish legs
a. Cut to 45”
b. Install levelers

6. PCB Ties (Done? – superdave/walsh)

7. Fix Zipper Rails

8. Gaps for the fitter rails
a. Cut 1 inch back from the endplate
b. Talk with Superdave, Luther Brefo, or Mike Walsh FIRST!

9. Paint modules
a. Black siderails
b. Brown tops

Might be nice to try to begin scenery (turf) on the 2-1’s?

I think the installation of the DPDT switches for the tortoises will be done on Friday.... The other things are important...
