"Real" Railroad Radio Communications

Check out this guys layout, the Pennsylvania Southern. It's a modern themed railroad, lots of industrial action. Listen to the recordings of their operating session. The MP3's are wildly entertaining, and you forget you're listening to a model railroad!

Apparently we're famous.

That wouldn't be too hard to do. We could make a 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack, and then just plug it into the microphone port of a computer. Using radios in our room is a little ridiculous though, because of the small space. It really only makes sense during shows, and even then we normally resort to yelling. ;)

Actually using the radios with proper headset gear in our small room cuts down on the yelling. But we'd need functional radios first, I guess.

As far as I know all the radios work, but we have only one or two good headsets.
